Whisked Away: The Not-So-Sweet Journey of Shebakes 316
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Yes, I can—and here, too, it's been a process! For someone who once ate only for survival, with no real passion for food, I've come a long way. I never had a "sweet tooth" or a preference for savoury delights, and describing food? Forget it. I couldn’t even imagine a steaming curry, let alone appreciate the aroma.
Fast forward to now: I’m dreaming of punching bread dough and watching air bubbles pop like little victories. I’m savouring the lemony scent wafting from the oven as if I were born a baker! From having no whisk at home (seriously, not even a whisk!) to owning a standing mixer and a larder full of baking gear—all in just four years. What changed? It wasn’t just the recipes. It was the courage to serve, the consistency of daily efforts, and getting a little better with every single order.
